Actor Robert Cormier, who played Finn Cotter on Canadian TV series Heartland, has died aged 33.
Cormier died on Friday, according to his obituary, although details of his cause of death were not released.
Following news of his death, UPtv, an American network that airs the CBC series, paid tribute to the rising star.

“Robert Cormier, aka Heartlands Finn, was an incredible talent who left way too soon. We are deeply saddened to learn of his death. Our sincere condolences go out to his friends, family and co-workers,” the network wrote, adding a dove emoji.
The actor was featured in a still from Heartland.
Cormier’s obituary said he was an “athlete, an actor, and a great brother.”
It also refined his devotion to others and his insatiable ambition.
“He had a passion for helping others and always strived to achieve more,” the tribute reads.

Cormier appeared on Heartland season 15 as the new love interest for Amy, played by Amber Mitchell (pictured).
Appropriately for an actor, Cormier reportedly enjoyed “movie nights with his family” and looked up “very much to his father,” Robert.
The obituary added that his “passion for art and film” would endure after his death.
According to his IMDb bio, Cormier was born in Toronto, Canada and became the first actor in his family.
After moving south to earn a degree in Fire and Engineering Extension Services at Texas A&M.
He then attended a graduate program in world economics at York University in Toronto, but left before graduating to enroll in a film school, where he graduated.

Heartland’s own Instagram account paid tribute to the late actor.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Robert Cormier. He’s been a beloved member of the Heartland cast for the past two seasons,” the post reads. “On behalf of the Heartland cast and crew, our thoughts are with him and his family who have requested privacy at this difficult time.”
Cormier’s last Instagram post from late August showed him lying on the floor with his AirPods while surrounded by scripts for the upcoming season of Heartland.
He appeared in the show’s 15th season when he became a new love interest for Amy, played by Amber Mitchell, who appeared with him in stills from the show.
Rising Star: His other starring roles include Winston on the Starz series American Gods, based on the Neil Gaiman novel, and the Shudder original series Slasher.
His wealth of scripts suggests he should appear in season 16, which premieres October 2, though it’s not clear how prominent his character will be.
