Kate and Rio Ferdinand celebrate their third wedding anniversary with a weekend in Paris

Kate and Rio Ferdinand enjoyed a romantic trip to the city of love this weekend to celebrate three years of marriage together.

The former TOWIE star, 31, and soccer pundit husband Rio, 43, started dating in 2017 and they wed in 2019 during an extravagant wedding ceremony in Turkey.

And it seems the honeymoon phase is definitely not over yet as the lovebirds couldn’t keep their hands off each other while spending the weekend child-free in Paris.

The romantic Instagram role begins with the couple boarding the Eurostar train from London to Paris, with the couple dressed in their comfortable travel attire before changing into their fashionable Parisian numbers.

Kate captioned the post Sunday night with the French flag and heart emojis: “PARI you were everything celebrated 3 years of marriage”.

Panning the camera around to show it was a couples-only vacation, Rio said, “No kids around,” while Kate quipped, “We’re free baby!”

Various snaps and short videos showed the couple standing next to the Eiffel Tower in the center of the French capital, enjoying some cocktails and fancy meals.

Another clip showed Kate and her husband Rio on an electric scooter, with Kate wearing a beige jacket and a black leather Fendi belt bag slung over her shoulder and the pair both wearing sunglasses and holding onto Rio as he navigated the busy streets of Paris steered.

For the evening, Kate wore a blue and orange combo midi skirt with her golden tresses pulled back into a low bun.

Rio looked suave in his classic plain white t-shirt, black trousers and slim collared black jacket and white sneakers.

The couple in love enjoyed an evening at an Italian restaurant, where they shared a limoncello shot with the waiters and ended the evening on the balcony of their hotel room with a bottle of champagne.

It comes just days after Kate broke her silence about a heartbreaking miscarriage in July, declaring that it’s “really hard when you’re mourning a loss that no one can see”.

The former TOWIE star, 31, opened up about how she discovered she was pregnant with her second child on June 2, the day before her birthday, and she and husband Rio, 43, were “so excited”. Having siblings her age Son Cree, 22 months.

Kate said she and Rio had told older children Lorenz, 16, Tate, 14 and Tia, 11 – about his marriage to late wife Rebecca – and she felt like she was expecting a baby girl.

The TV personality explained that she initially suffered from morning sickness that suddenly disappeared and that she started bleeding on the day of her 12-week scan.

In her Blended podcast, which was released on Wednesday, Kate said of her miscarriage: “It’s been really hard when you’re grieving a loss that no one can see.”

Explaining her trip, she said: “I found out the day before my birthday that I was pregnant.

“We were supposed to get on a boat and go drinking the next day and I was so seasick it was a crazy birthday. Everyone else was crazy and dancing, I hadn’t told anyone and I was so sick on the boat.

‘I was so excited. Rio was so excited we couldn’t wait to have a sibling Cree’s age because the big kids are much older.

“We just thought it would be nice for him to have a little friend walking around. The kids stamped around this time so we told them and some family members this time.

Kate explained what happened when she found her pregnancy was not progressing and admitted seeing the sonographer’s face when they were told there was no heartbeat was “just awful” and prompted her to “immediately” to burst into tears”.
