Terrible: Recalling the horrific ordeal in further detail in her new book, Kerry recalled an incident where her ex tried to strangle her during a car ride – even pulling her out of the vehicle
“I fell and banged my head on the door. He spat at me, got back in the car and drove away.’
She said the attack was sparked during a home tour when she was recalling a story about singer Bryan Adams telling her to eat her vegetables.
She said: “I’m telling the story to George and the landlord, I had this big plate of veggies in front of me and I didn’t feel like it but Bryan kept urging me in his awesome Canadian tone of voice, ‘Eat them, you gotta eat your veggies !’ she remembers.
I wrote further, “And then Bryan Adams fed me broccoli off the fork,” I proudly told George and this random landlord.

Traumatic: Of the car incident, Kerry wrote: “I could hardly breathe and honestly thought I was done for when he released his grip, stopped, opened the passenger door and pulled me out of the car by my hair” (pictured with George in 2015

Pregnancy: She also opened up about how her late ex would hit her while she was pregnant with their daughter, Dylan-Jorge, who they welcomed in 2014 (George pictured with her daughter in 2014)
“There was nothing sexual or romantic about that moment with Bryan. It was just a joking exchange between two people who had just met and got along well – in front of their significant other.
‘But George didn’t see it that way. We quickly left the home tour, got in the car and when he pulled away he had one hand on the wheel and one around my neck,” Kerry wrote of the harrowing experience.
Kerry welcomed daughter Dylan-Jorge with George in April 2014 and has detailed in the book how her late ex would even hit her while she was pregnant.
“Even as my stomach grew, he would knock me over, kick me and spit in my face. Shortly after apologizing, he told me how much he loved me and gently let me know that it was all my fault for pushing his buttons. And then I would be the one apologizing,” she wrote.
